Ben and Jerry’s serves up Hubby Hubby love for all

With recent commentary about Viagra ice cream and question about frozen custard, here’s something I can’t taste locally but can truly support: Ben & Jerry’s Hubby Hubby ice cream.

In celebration of rights to same-sex marriage in the state of Vermont, hometown heroes Ben and Jerry have renamed the popular Chubby Hubby flavor to Hubby Hubby. Ben & Jerry’s has partnered with Freedom to Marry to support marriage equality, and in light of Vermont’s victory, invites you to Vermont scoop shops to buy a Hubby Hubby Sundae.

The sundaes are not available in Seattle, but we can certainly hope to have a similar celebration if Washington ultimately supports the domestic partnership law being challenged here later this year. Perhaps a visit to a local Ben & Jerry’s scoop shop can help make that happen.

or – better yet- a visit to a locally sourced and gay owned frozen treat shop like Peaks Frozen Custard would be more fitting :)
