Stuffed silly from the James Beard nominees dinner

I’m not sure where to even begin in reporting back on last night’s dinner with the James Beard nominees for Best Chef Northwest. My head won’t clear until I finish digesting the food, which should happen sometime later today.

A full report is forthcoming. But reverting to the “a picture tells a thousand words” adage, check out our first dish (which followed some amazing passed appetizers) once seated: Ethan Stowell’s Shigoku oysters with uni, radish and cucumber. That plate wasn’t to share with tablemates. Six per person – with halibut, pork cheek on trotter cake, a mini-burger with foie gras, lamb, and dessert to follow.

I’m still in a food coma…
